ENERGY STAR certified refrigerators offer high-performance features such as high-efficiency compressors that create less heat and use less energy, improved insulation that helps food stay cold, and temperature and defrost mechanisms that help the refrigerator operate more efficiently.

Which Refrigerators Qualify?

To be eligible for a $100 rebate, the refrigerator must be ENERGY STAR certified. 

See application for all eligibility requirements. Rebates are available to residential customers of FirstEnergy's Ohio electric companies on qualified products and services purchased between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024. Rebate applications must be submitted within 90 days of purchase.
